Each 1 oz Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Gold Bar available here is in brand-new condition from Argor-Heraeus. The bars ship to you inside of sealed transparent blisterpacks from the mint. These blisterpacks feature a capsule at the center to house the gold bar safely and have an assay card included inside of the package. The card includes the signature of a certified assayer, as well as the matching weight, metal content, purity, and serial number of the bar.
Kinebar technology was developed by Argor-Heraeus and UBS, the Union Bank of Switzerland, in 1993. The one-of-a-kind hologram is known as a kinegram and is embossed into the substrate surface of the reverse field of the gold bar. The kinegram changes colors and visual textures as the angle of viewing on the bar changes.
Argor-Heraeus’ logo is featured on the obverse side of the 1 oz Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Gold Bar. This logo is featured at the top of the bar’s design field and is the prominent design feature of the bar. Additional inscriptions on this face of the bar include the nation of issue, weight, metal content, and purity. There is an assayer’s stamp at the bottom with a unique serial number below that. The serial numbers in the Kinebar Series use six-number codes.
Kinebar technology is showcased in the reverse design of the 1 oz Argor-Heraeus Kinebar Gold Bars. The embossed designs on this face of the bar include the Argor-Heraeus logo at the center of the design element, along with the hologram that fills the entirety of the design field.
Argor-Heraeus was founded in 1951 as Argor SA in the city of Chiasso, Switzerland. The company has evolved over the course of nearly 70 years to become a global leader in the precious metals industry. In 1973 it was acquired by UBS and later became Argor-Heraeus following a joint venture between UBS and the German Heraeus group.
