The highlight of the 10 oz Perth Mint Gold Bar is the CertiCard security feature the Mint has included in the packaging of its most popular product line. In addition to the bar’s assay card in the packaging, which verifies the weight, metal content, and purity of the bar, the CertiCard feature provides assurance that the product has not been tampered with.
Each CertiCard seal comes with luminescent UV text that, when broken or otherwise tampered with, reveals the wording “seal broken.” The UV text is superimposed on the card using a crypto print system and special adhesives. This unique security feature provides peace of mind that your 10 oz Perth Mint Gold Bar is in fact in brand-new condition upon receipt.
On the obverse side of the gold bar you’ll find the official logo of the Perth Mint. In the center of the image, a graceful swan is featured with an elongated neck and large plumage on its tail. Surrounding the swan are the words “Perth Mint – Australia.” The bar’s purity, metal content, and weight are engraved below.
The reverse features the repeating image of a kangaroo bounding along. Each kangaroo has a deeply-mirrored finish that creates a stark contrast between the body of the creature and the bar’s gold background.
