Each 2023 1 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coin available here comes to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The Gold Maple Leaf coins come with individual and bulk packaging in 1 oz weight. This includes plastic flips for individual coins, protective tubes for multiples of 10 coins, and Monster Boxes for multiples of 500 coins. Each box holds 50 tubes.
Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coins were introduced by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1979. At this time, only the 1 oz South African Gold Krugerrand Coin was available to gold bullion investors interested in private gold ownership. Eventually, the Royal Canadian Mint would drastically expand this series beyond the 1 oz gold coin.
Queen Elizabeth II is on the obverse side of the 2023 Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coin. Her Majesty makes her final appearance on Canadian Gold Maple Leafs for the 2023 date. With her death in September 2022, the Queen’s right-profile effigy from Susanna Blunt will be the last update to the Queen’s appearance as the coins will eventually come out with a new effigy of King Charles III.
A sugar maple leaf is featured on the reverse of 2023 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf Coins. This design was created in 1979 by Walter Ott and has been featured on the coins since that time. Not only is this design used on gold coins, but also the silver, platinum, and palladium versions.
